I'm taking a Wellness class, which is basically like Health class that I'm sure you all had to take at some point in your lives.

Today we talked about the dreaded topic. You know the one. Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about that, I was really more interested in the reactions that came from the students.

Now in middle school, and even high school, I expect for the girls to chuckle, and the men to close up. However, in college, I honestly didn't think the subject would cause such harsh reactions.

Here's what occurred: Girls crossing their arms and their legs, chuckling a little when something particularly awkward was discussed; Guys with their elbows on their desks, hands clasped together as if they were praying, not making one slight noise, every once in a while pretending to groom their fingernails. Every. Single. Person.

At one point, we were talking about the consequences of being irresponsible, and a male organ flashed up on the big white board, in all its Herpes glory. So that was fun. [Please, in the name of all things good, note that last statement as sarcasm.]

I really wonder why it is that the men seemed more embarrassed than the women. I would have loved to have been able to read their minds. Seriously, can you even imagine?!

Anyway, so after the class ended, I heard two guys from the class kind of whispering as they walked away. I couldn't really understand what they were saying, but one of them said something like "so that's what I was doing wrong!" I can only pray he was being sarcastic. No, really, I will pray.
